The Camp Side Dining Hall is under construction! The Dining Hall is one of the camp's original buildings, and until recently not much had changed since the camp was founded. Now, it is time to remodel the building to serve the next generation of Round Lake campers. With the growing size of some of our groups, this remodel also includes expanding the Dining Hall to seat about 100 additional people, allowing us room to grow!
So far, your generosity has resulted in over $50,000 being donated towards this project, meaning the remodeling is off to a great start! We have already paid for and completed the following:
-Torn out & redone the original ceiling
-Painted the new ceiling & installed lights
-Constructed a drink bar and storage closet
-Installed two new private bathrooms for guest use (guests formerly had to go outside to another building for a bathroom)
-Knocked out old walls on the lakeside section to extend the Dining Hall onto the former porch, allowing additional seating for approximately 100 more campers
-Added a second storage closet to meet increased needs and enhance visual appeal
-Enclosed former front porch to create a private dining area for additional guests
-Replaced the chairs
